Meet James T, or as we lovingly call him, Jimbo Norris. From the day he was born, it was clear that he was destined for greatness — with an oversized head that has remained as proportionate to his body as a golf club still snug in its bag.

But it's not just his head that's larger than life; it's his incredible zest for adventure. James climbs mountains that touch the sky, conquers Tour de France stages with the determination of a true champion, and wears his heart on his sleeve for Liverpool FC. Norris's musical taste veers towards the dark side, combining his love for early 90s trash metal and West Coast hip hop — truly delicious!

Speaking of what he wears, rumour has it that he's got a cheeky tattoo of Team Freebirds on his backside, a true badge of honour. However, every time James hits the town, it seems like the wind has a personal vendetta against him, as it conspires to knock him over, much like a mischievous hazard on the golf course. But no matter how many times he tumbles, James always bounces back, reminding us that life is meant to be lived with humour and an undying passion for the game.

Don considers himself an athlete — if you count standing in a boat with a cooler of beer as "athleticism." On the lake, he's a fishing legend, reeling in trout with the grace of a sushi chef and the confidence of a factory fishing trawler.

But put a golf club in his hands and he transforms into a golfing diva: balls ricochet off trees, divots fly farther than his drives, and his swing resembles someone trying to swat a mosquito with a garden hose.

He stands tall, his broad shoulders and confident posture commanding attention. His thick, silver-streaked hair is neatly swept back, with just the right amount of volume, catching the light with every subtle turn of his head. Introducing Colin, aka "Smokes."

On the golf course, Smokes is a picture of focus. His swing is smooth, controlled, perfect. Every drive arcs through the air as if guided by instinct, landing precisely where he wants it. His fellow lamers admire him, and the clubhouse is filled with talk of his next big win.

Introducing Salsa Pa, a resident at the Royal Ancient Mahon Golf Course. Salsa Pa is a vibrant personality who lights up every room with his passion for salsa dancing.

On the dance floor, Pa moves with effortless grace, spinning and twirling to the rhythm with a contagious energy.

But Salsa Pa's love for rhythm extends beyond the dance floor. When it's time for golf, Pa steps onto the green with the same confidence and precision. His smooth swing and keen focus are a reflection of this dancer's discipline, yet he brings an air of fun and creativity to the game, never taking it too seriously.

Salsa Pa's fashion sense is just as eclectic as his golf swing.

Enter Tom H, a Renaissance soul introduced to the LamerCup by none other than the illustrious Denzel. A man of many hats, Tom isn't just a golfer; he's a promising artist whose strokes on the canvas are as bold as his swings on the fairway.

When he's not perfecting his golf game, Tom delves into the intricate world of climate science, mapping out pathways to a sustainable future. This learning and development officer not only sharpens minds but also hones his own skills with each swing of the club. Whether he's crafting masterpieces on canvas, deciphering climate patterns, or guiding others through the learning journey, Tom is the embodiment of a modern Renaissance man.

Barry, fondly referred to as Foxy Cullers, is a man of contradictions and camaraderie renowned for his impeccable timekeeping. Cullers has been a lifelong Munster rugby fan since 2024.

Representing the Freebirds, he shares a unique bond with his best friend and rival, Michael, who finds himself on the opposing side of the LamerCup. Barry might not be the most mobile, as he spends most of his workday buried in the sports section, finding solace in the pages of the Daily Sport — especially within the confines of the office toilet.

His golf game may be less than impressive but Barry has the unique ability to locate a toilet anywhere on the golf course. When it comes to the "craic," Barry is undoubtedly one of the best in the business. Tales of him having spirits poured directly into his cavernous mouth on previous trips are legendary, showcasing his remarkable talent for turning any gathering into a lively celebration.

Barry, the man of sport and spirits, proves that sometimes it's not the swing but the laughter that truly counts in the world of golf.

Introducing Conor, a veteran LamerCup player who first lined out for the Freebirds in 2023. In CSN, he was seen as a hippy for playing tensock with a hacky sack.

Upon finishing Electrical Engineering in UCC, he fled to London and became an overnight Chelsea fan, going as far as to buy a house within a hooligan's throw of Stamford Bridge.

Conor then abruptly left London for the green, green pastures of an estate house in Newport, Tipperary, to become the Lord of Newport and an accidental farmer. Never one far from controversy, his migration from the Smirnoff Class Championship to the LamerCup is fraught with excitement and fear — excitement of knowing what it'll be like to be a winner, and fear of the traditional LamerCup hazing rituals.

Conor joined the LamerCup with a mission — to challenge the experienced Denzel on the golf course, a rivalry that promises to add a new twist to the competition. Conor, aka Wig or the Wigster, a name that's sure to make a lasting impression on the LamerCup.
